why blogging?

Typical story: Want to blog. Questions arise what to blog, which title to select, what theme and layout to choose,  what should be the theme of the content. Never found right answers to the above questions. Got started at last with this crappy post

Being a tech savvy person, I like to try any new application which promises great technology, usability, or anything which makes life easier. So I decided to blog when the first blog was introduced. Haha that was so long ago in the past that nobody remembers when that was. I wanted to blog not because I wanted to express my self but just because everybody is doing it and it promised to make life easier, I did know how though, So I did not wanted to be left behind.

what took me so long is the next question. I did not know what to write rather I did not like to write at all. I knew this promised something great but did not what and how. As time passed by blogs were categorized into personal, commercial, philanthropic, purposeful, purposeless and so on. Now I had a better understanding that there needs to be a theme for the content that one should post. So I decided to think about the theme rather than actually what I would be posting.

what should be the theme of content. I felt that personal blogs did not make a lot of sense to me as I had a great social life in the real world, I was sufficiently addicted to phone too. I need no expression in the virtual world with a blog for personal things. I did not have any commercial intent. Being philanthropic and contributing my way to the world by some useful content was meaningful enough to me but I did not know how dedicated I could be to the cause. Now had to choose the cause or the theme again in other words

What's the motivation. While I kept on procrastinating to write my blog, I kept on reading a lot of blogs for academic purposes. I started seeing that knowledge on internet became richer with blogs. There were more and better answers to day to day issues on blogs than any official website, or knowledge bases like wiki. There were answers to programming issues on blogs than in official documentation or the APIs. I read more blogs to stay ahead of technology, to know which better product or technology is going to come into the market. The list goes on and I started not only reading but following blogs.

Additional Motivation. Some close and important people in my life stated blogging who included best friends and cousins. I was now obligated to follow them, just kidding, they post great content. Better late than never. Here I am with my first post with a lot of questions still unanswered not only for the blog but in general with life so join me on the "Maverick's Quest"
